Dianella caerulea 'Lucia' (Dianella 'Lucia')
is a frost hardy perennial evergreen grass with purple flowers in early Spring, late Spring and mid Spring. It grows well in direct sun, and prefers medium levels of water. The flowers are rotate shaped arranged in a raceme inflorescence. It has average drought tolerance. It looks best in Spring, Autumn and Summer.Soil
Dianella caerulea 'Lucia' grows in soils ranging from a pH of 5.5 (very acidic ranges from 5.2 to 5.5) to 7.5 (neutral ranges from 6.6 to 7.5). It is adapted to clay loam, loam, loamy sand, sand, sandy clay loam and sandy loam soils.
Growth
This is a erect plant and has a rhizomatous growth form, and has an ultimate height of 0.4m / 1.3ft and spread of 0.5m / 1.6ft.
Warning:The vegetative spread rate is very fast.
